Wagner cleverly incorporates the hymntune “Hamburg” by Lowell Mason and the “When I Survey” text of Isaac Watts. Set in an accessible 2-Part Mixed voicing, with an optional obbligato for Flute or Violin, this is a great choice for Communion and the Lenten season.
