30 Jahre nach der Veröffentlichung des ersten Teils von Romeo und Julia beschloss der Arrangeur, das Arrangement mit den Teilen 2 und 3 zu vervollständigen. Daraufhin überarbeitete er auch den 1. Satz vollständig. In dieser Suite für Blasorchester ist Johan de Meij nicht von den bestehenden Orchestersuiten ausgegangen, sondern hat er mit welchen Teilen des Balletts, die für ein Arrangement gut geeignet sind, eine eigene Suite zusammengestellt.
