フランスの作曲家、F・シュミットのピアノ連弾曲集です。シュミ ットは国立パリ音楽院でマスネ、フォーレに学び、1900年には「カ ンタータ セミラミス」でローマ大賞を獲得。その後はピアニスト としても活躍し、後にメシアンやデュティユーらにも影響を与えた といわれる作曲家です。本書は中上級向けとして、レッスンや発表 会などの活用を目的としています。校訂・解説は西原昌樹氏。
