Concert for wind band and trumpet solo. Spices is a commission from the trumpet player José Cháfer, to whom this piece is dedicated. It was played for the first time in the “43rd Annual International Conference of San Antonio, Texas”, in May 2018. The piece is divided in different sections that refer to the taste universe represented by combinations of different spices. To stimulate the senses, different elements are opposed such as: Fresh Mint, Sugar and Cinnamon, Chili Pepper and Peppermint.
