Sergei Prokofiev's "Overture on Hebrew Themes" was originally composed in 1919 for a rather uncommon combination of instruments, a clarinet, string quartet and piano. The reason for this instrumentation was simply that the group who commissioned the work, the Zimro Ensemble, led by clarinetist Simeon Bellison, consisted of these instruments. Here, it has been arranged for flute ensemble by Shaul Ben-Meir.
