Das Werk hat eine Länge von 5 Minuten und wurde im Sommer 2022 komponiert. Es ist ein Auftragswerk von Pierre Henri Xuereb und ist ihm gewidmet. Während der Uraufführung war auch das älteste chinesische Instrument zu hören: das Guqin, das in einem pentatonischen Universum spielt. Das einsätzige Werk Chant bewegt sich ebenfalls in einer pentatonischen und sehr melodischen Farbe.
