for mixed choir a cappella (Cyrillic and Transliteration)
Glasunov composed this solemn chorale setting as a form of congratulations on the wedding of two of his friends. The energetic and cheerful character of the music is in charming contrast to the text set to music, a gentle, romantic poem by Vasily Shukovsky which describes the miracles of love. Besides Belaieff’s edition containing the Russian text as well as a singable adaptation in German (Bel 809), this edition offers a version purely in Russian with Cyrillic and transliterated text.
