One of the best works for harp and orchestra, this concerto by the French composer Boieldieu remains incomplete today, the sole source that we possess contains the parts for harp, first violin and bass.
Taking the piano concerto of Boieldieu as a model for the harp concerto, Jean-Philippe Navarre has reconstructed the work in a very accurate version, historically and stylistically informed. The scope of his work is detailed in the preface. This version has been recorded twice. Orchestral parts can be rented.
