A complete, new critical edition of the still much played Boccherini violin concerto has long been overdue. This edition, supervised by Thomas Fritzsch, goes back to the only authentic source, a transcript from the late 19th century - whose predecessors are still missing today. The Pioneer edition by Friedrich Grützmacher (EB 3596, PB / OB 3842) remains available. With the G minor Adagio, a middle movement is inserted which originated from the cello concerto No. 7 in G major
